Iraqi Police Service Training

Approximately 150 Iraqi Police Service personnel will receive training under the Iraqi Police Service Training (IPST) project over a three year period.

As part of the Australian Government’s Overseas Development Assistance to the Iraqi Police Service initiative, the NCFS will work to develop a more effective Iraqi Police Service by providing training in Australia for specific forensic science disciplines. Approximately 150 Iraqi Police Service personnel will receive training under the Iraqi Police Service Training (IPST) project over a three year period.

Forensic training of IPST project participants will focus on advanced crime scene examination, chemical and biological criminalistics, laboratory management, advanced fingerprint examination and bomb data awareness. Forensic training will be conducted in Canberra.
